Hi,
My name is Glenn, so you can see in my title.
I'm currently 17 years old and live in little Belgium.
My hobbies are taekwondo, drama, synthesizer, reading and writing.
I'm a huge simsaddict since, I think, 2005.
Further I have a dream and that's move to America, but I found out, that it's not so easy to do.
'Cause I want to move to the US in future, I have to learn English. So I start with learning this by surfing on English forums. I know, there gonna be a dozen of grammatical writingmistakes in my posts, but I'm learning it. 8D So wish me good luck with my English and I hope my English is better than this soon. :D

Hiya Glenn! Lovely to see you on our forums! Be welcome and if you ever have any questions, feel free to ask!

I think it's funny you want to move to the US someday. It just so happens that I have the same dream! Now I don't think the language will be the problem in my case. I'm a bit afraid my health is so bad I won't be able to afford the health care bills over there. But I'd still love to move to the US. Preferably California. Have you thought about a region yet?

Your English is readable enough for me, I've seen worse, believe me. :p But I hope our forums can contribute to your learning process!

Hi, thanks for the Welcome message. :p

Haha, really? :p
I always wanted to live in the US, but if it didn't happen, I could live with it. It wasn't so bad in Belgium after all. But since a few weeks ago, I went to Atlanta and New York City. The US totally stole my heart. I cried when I was back in Belgium 'cause it's just a monkeycountry. xD So I start googling for how to move to the US. And I've met many people who say it's almost impossible to move to the US. But I never thought to give up.
The plan is to graduate as Sales manager or in informatics. But Than I have to learn also French and I hate french. xD
Ahw, I feel so sorry. But if it's your dream, you can make it to the US. ^^
My problem are the languages. I'm bad at languages, but I want to learn English, French and Spanish. ;)
I was thinking of Atlanta, I dont know why, but for some reason I love that region. Maybe it's because of a friend lives there.

Thanks, I'm glad it's readable. :veryhappy:

I've been to California 3 times now and I just fell in love with San Francisco. I've also been to Los Angeles and although it has a special place in my heart, I don't think I'd ever want to live there. I've been told San Francisco has a very European feel to it (maybe that's why I'm drawn to that region). Also, a lot of the big companies are over there, including EA's headquarters haha. :D

My languages are just fine. Or well. I'm never really happy with my knowledge but I do my best, and people usually know what I'm saying so I'm fine. As for French and German, I can read both fine. But I haven't spoken or written anything in these languages in years. So I'd have a lot of studying to do to pick it up again. :P

If you make sure to get a job over there you have a good chance of being able to move (and stay) there. Don't ever give up on your dreams! :D

Welcome to the forum!

Big dreams so I read. I also had the dream to move to America, also San Francisco. But then I met my husband and I am fine creating our life in Holland. Although there are a lot of things that bug me. But we always have Egypt. The country of the family of my hubby. It's also a great place where you can really forget about time. We are going back next year, to visit a part of his family again. :-)

Keep trying for your dream, nothing is impossible, if you keep on trying you will always find ways to make your dream come true. Even if you go to America for 3 months and keep on doing that. Or try to find a job like Rosana said. That's the best way. Good luck :-)
